2.  270 embrace Islam in Benin

Cotonou, September 4, 2001 (IINA) – A total of 270 people in the Lulu village in Benin’s Kandi region have embraced Islam. They included the head of the village and five Christians. Most of the people in the Lulu village have been idol worshippers. Thanks to the efforts of the African Muslim Committee, many of these people have reverted to Islam.
